Vertical Video PiP - AutoScroll Shorts/Reels is designed to keep the data needed for monetization separate from what you watch.

What the extension stores locally

The extension stores a random anonymous installation identifier, your local daily PiP usage counter, locally hashed video fingerprints used to avoid double-counting, extension settings, and a cached Pro entitlement state in Chrome storage.

What may be sent to our backend

For plan status, checkout and referrals, the extension may send the anonymous installation identifier, referral code, subscription entitlement status, the installation's first registration time used to determine introductory-offer eligibility, and timestamps needed to determine whether Pro access is active. Our backend is hosted using Convex.

What we do not collect

We do not send or store your watched video URLs, video titles, Reel/Short/TikTok/Facebook video IDs, creators or accounts watched, browsing history, search history, or unrelated page content on our backend.

Payments

Payments and subscription checkout are handled by Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy may collect information such as your email address, billing details and payment information as necessary to process a purchase and manage a subscription. Fehistro Studio does not receive your full card number.

Referral program

If you use a referral code, our backend stores the relationship needed to validate the first paid referral conversion and grant the promised reward. We do not reward clicks, installs, reviews or ratings. Self-referrals are rejected.

Free-plan counter

The Free plan allows up to 30 PiP videos per local calendar day. The daily counter is kept locally in Chrome and resets at local midnight. Normal browsing and watching on the source websites are not counted or restricted.

Data retention and control

Local extension data can be removed by uninstalling the extension or clearing its site/extension storage. Subscription and transaction records may need to be retained by payment or infrastructure providers for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or service-operation purposes.

Third-party services

Vertical Video PiP currently relies on Convex for backend infrastructure and Lemon Squeezy for checkout, subscription and payment processing. Their own privacy terms apply to information they process.

We may update this policy when the product, payment flow or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page.
